How booking works

  1. Tell us your date. Email or call us with the date, the event address and the kind of event you are planning.
  2. Hold it with a $50 deposit. The deposit counts toward the price. It is non-refundable, and you may move your event to another date once.
  3. Sign the release. We ask the host to sign a liability release before the event.
  4. Enjoy the goats. The balance is due at the event by cash, check or ACH. Every event is invoiced.

Questions

How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can. Most hosts plan months ahead, and we take a limited number of events so the goats are never overworked. Weekend dates go first.
Do you do events in winter?
Yes. We bring goats out all year round. For cold-weather events, tell us whether you have an indoor or sheltered space, and we will plan the visit around the goats’ comfort.
How far will you travel?
We travel to events within about an hour’s drive of the farm in North Branch, MN. If you are a little farther out, ask us.
Why is the longest event two hours?
For the goats’ welfare. Two hours is the most we ask of them at one event, so every visit stays fun for the animals as well as the guests.
What is a fainting goat?
Myotonic goats, often called fainting goats, are a heritage breed whose muscles briefly stiffen when they are startled. It is a natural trait of the breed. We never startle our goats for show.
How does the deposit work?
A $50 deposit holds your date. It counts toward the price, it is non-refundable, and you may move your event to another date once. The balance is paid at the event by cash, check or ACH, and every event is invoiced.
Is there paperwork?
Yes. We ask the host to sign a liability release before the event. Our goats carry official scrapie identification whenever they leave the farm, as Minnesota requires.
